Wanting to create a company that celebrated diversity, Shawn Short organized his first initiative,
Dissonance Dance Theatre (DDT) in 2007. Today DDT continues Short’s personal mission, inspiring contemporary artists who are looking to use their talents and develop their professional skills, as a part of Ngoma Center for Dance (2012).
